The Shirley Aninias School’s academic programming is designed to cater to each students’ individual strengths. Individualized goals are derived from New York State Next Generation Learning Standards (NGLS) in conjunction with Common Core State Standards (CCSS).

We utilize the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as a framework to inform our curriculum design and teaching methods which ensures accessibility for all students. Within that framework we focus on evidence based curriculums rooted in practical research that highlights effective instructional strategies and interventions.
