Our Philosophy
The Shirley Aninias School is a developmentally oriented program committed to our unique learners. Our Whole Child Approach prioritizes the full scope of a child’s developmental needs (cognitive, social-emotional, behavioral, fine, gross motor, and health development) to ensure that every child reaches their full potential.

Our small class size allows us the flexibility to customize our program for each child to effectively address their learning needs. We begin each class in a group setting, while addressing their individualized needs, to acclimate our students to the more traditional learning approach.

Shirley Aninias is the best! The eight years she worked with our son were life-changing for him and our family. He required full-time 1:1 support in school and an exhaustive schedule of related services when he first started seeing Shirley, but today, he’s a fully independent and successful freshman in a demanding mainstream high school.
Shirley’s expertise, personalized and carefully calculated programming, care, and advocacy has made the biggest difference for my son.

SAS and Ready, Set, Play! have transformed my whole family’s life. My son went from having many behavioral challenges, being asked to leave multiple programs to thriving at SAS. This fall he transitioned to a ICT class. He loves it and is successful. Shirley’s team’s personalized attention and individualized approach did wonders for my son’s self esteem. As a nervous mom, traumatized from lots of negative school situations, SAS supported me completely. The team made was always in touch with me. They gave us both the tools and confidence to transition to a mainstream setting. I am so happy my son still attends RSP to continue to develop his social skills and be a part of Shirley’s supportive community.
